Something Doesn’t Feel Right? CVAM Virtual Urgent Care Can Help
Sometimes, you know something doesn’t feel right, but you’re not sure what to do next. Maybe you have a new concern, an existing symptom has changed, or you need more timely guidance than your next scheduled appointment.
CVAM Virtual Urgent Care gives eligible, established CVAM patients another way to connect with a provider for certain non-emergency cardiovascular concerns, without having to come into the office.
Worried About a Symptom? Start Here.
Cardiovascular symptoms can be concerning, especially when you aren’t sure what they mean or whether you should be seen.
Virtual Urgent Care may be appropriate for certain non-emergency concerns, including:
- Blood pressure concerns
- Palpitations or changes in your heartbeat
- Certain circulation or vascular concerns
- Leg pain or swelling
- Certain vein-related symptoms
- Changes in previously discussed symptoms
- Other cardiovascular concerns that may need timely evaluation
During your virtual visit, a CVAM provider can review your symptoms and medical history, discuss your concerns, and help determine the appropriate next steps in your care.
Who Is Eligible for Virtual Urgent Care?
You may be eligible if:
✓ You are an existing CVAM patient
✓ Your insurance is eligible, which will be determined during triage
✓ You are not experiencing a medical emergency
✓ You have a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone and a stable internet connection
Our team will ask you questions about your symptoms before your visit to determine whether Virtual Urgent Care is appropriate for your needs.
How Does Virtual Urgent Care Work?
Virtual Urgent Care is available Monday through Thursday, from 7 AM to 1 PM.
1. Call CVAM
Call (480) 641-5400 and select the option to speak with a team member about your symptoms.
2. Speak With Our Team
A CVAM representative will ask questions about your symptoms and determine whether you are eligible for Virtual Urgent Care.
3. Enter the Virtual Waiting Room
If eligible, you will receive instructions for joining the virtual waiting room.
4. Plan for a Wait
Virtual Urgent Care operates as a queue, so wait times will vary based on patient volume and provider availability. We recommend calling earlier in the morning rather than waiting until later in the day for the best chance of being seen.
5. Meet With Your Provider
When a provider becomes available, they will join the virtual visit, discuss your concerns, and determine the appropriate next steps in your care.
Convenient Cardiovascular Care from Home
Not every concern requires an immediate trip to the office. Virtual Urgent Care gives eligible CVAM patients another way to address certain cardiovascular concerns when more timely guidance may be needed.
Depending on your symptoms, your provider may recommend additional testing, an in-person appointment, follow-up care, or another appropriate next step.
When Should I Seek Emergency Care?
Virtual Urgent Care is not intended for medical emergencies.
Do not wait for a Virtual Urgent Care visit if you are experiencing symptoms that may require emergency evaluation, including:
- Active or severe chest pain or pressure
- Acute or new shortness of breath that has not previously been discussed with your CVAM provider
- Fainting or loss of consciousness
- Stroke-like symptoms, such as sudden weakness, numbness, difficulty speaking, confusion, or facial drooping
- Any severe, rapidly worsening, or potentially life-threatening symptoms
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
