Anti-Coagulant Clinic

Open Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Anti-coagulant medication (often referred to as Coumadin or blood thinners) is sometimes necessary to prevent or treat conditions related to improper blood flow or clotting. It is important for patients taking Coumadin to get regular and timely blood tests to ensure their blood is not too thin or too thick.

Our patients benefit from one-on-one counseling and education. We improve the comfort of these blood draws by using a finger stick method with the Protime/INR monitoring system to provide patients with instant results.

Congestive Heart Failure Clinic

Open Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is one of the most common reasons people are admitted to the hospital.  The goal of our CHF Clinic is to partner with you to provide the treatment, education and support you need to improve your quality of life and prevent repeated hospitalizations.  The more you understand about your disease, the better we can work together to improve your condition.

We work closely with your cardiologist to ensure you are on the appropriate medications as well as your electrophysiologist for consideration of device therapy.  Frequent visits may be required, initially, to ensure that you are closely monitored and that all of your questions are answered.

Medical Device/Pacemaker Clinic

Open Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30pm

Unlike other muscles in the body which take direction from the brain, the heart runs on autopilot. Electrical signals keep the heart contracting in a specific rhythm that keeps the blood flowing at the right pace and in the right direction. If the electrical signals are not properly synchronized, it can cause problems.

A device such as a pacemaker or implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) can be implanted to help your heart keep its rhythm. Ongoing monitoring is an essential component in the care of patients with a pacemaker or a defibrillator.

Our medical device clinic adds convenience to these multi-annual device checks. During the clinic, patients work with our skilled technicians, as well as representatives from the top device companies, to make sure patients are monitored for any signs of device replacement, patient initiated reprogramming and signs of malfunction. Our goal is to provide the patient with the most current management techniques while insuring safe, compassionate care.
